Job Description
Position: Office Manager Hours: Full-time, permanent Salary: $70 - 100K, with benefits, paid vacation (signing bonus based on experience) Expected Start Date: July, 2021 Regehr Family Dental is a new and innovative dental practice launching in Vernon, BC, by Dr. Brydan Regehr in September, 2021. Brydan was raised in Vernon, BC, and has spent time working in both rural and diverse communities across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Northern BC. He is excited to be returning home to bring his skills, dedication, and commitment to his patients to the Vernon area, building a clinic team that shares his positivity, work ethic, and desire to build a family-oriented practice. Our clinic will be the first dental clinic in Vernon to meet the Canadian Standards Association Airborne Infection Isolations, creating hospital-grade air quality to optimize infection control for patients and staff alike. Our clinic approach is also unique, with a focus on preventative and pain-free dentistry, offering a full spectrum of general dentistry services to all age groups. We are currently recruiting a full-time office manager to join our team. Previous experience working in a dental clinic is ideal, but experience working in a relevant clinical or office environment will also set a successful applicant apart. The following skills and qualifications will be considered in reviewing applications for this position: ● Above all, strong communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills ● Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment ● Ability to work in a team environment, able to maintain independent responsibilities ● Past experience in office management and dental administration ● Familiarity with clinical Electronic Medical Record programs and/or dental softwares ● Clinical background and/or administrative experience ● Experience with processing medical billing, insurance claims and navigating transactions with point-of-sale (POS) systems ● Management skills that may include responsibility for a staff office schedule, coordinating patient appointments, ordering supplies ● Training as a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) will be considered an asset Job responsibilities: ● Acting as a liaison between reception and clinical staff ● Responsible for clinic staff schedule, incorporating vacation requests, shift lines, etc. ● Employee training in specific office set-up, procedures ● Supply management and ordering, including personal protective equipment, disinfecting and sanitizing supplies ● As required: ○ Coordinating patient follow-up through phone, online, and in-person interactions ○ Processing medical billing, insurance claims, and using a POS system ○ Phone reception, coordination of mail and faxes Why you should apply to join the Regehr Family Dental Team: ● Competitive salary ● Extended healthcare and dental benefits ● Flexible paid vacation time ● Signing bonus (depending on experience) ● Overtime pay ● Uniform allowance provided ● Opportunity to join a forward-thinking clinic, setting high standards for patient safety and infection control, while remaining patient-centred at all times ● A work environment that will seek out your feedback and look for your quality improvement ideas to optimize both staff and patient experiences ● A community-oriented practice, treating patients in Vernon and surrounding areas to the same standard of care we would want for our own family members and friends ● Opportunity to work remotely prior to clinic launch Schedule: ● 8-hour shift (negotiable) ● 34 hour work week Covid-19 Considerations: ● Virtual interview process over Zoom ● Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided in office ● Social distancing practices in place within the clinic ● Appropriate screening, sanitizing, and disinfecting procedures will be strictly followed
