As our Selenium Plant Operator, you will supports all aspects of the Care and Maintenance team within the environment function for the Mine. Through providing timely guidance, reporting and compliance to corporate and legislative requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
Focused on monitoring, sampling and analysis will reporting on Selenium key markers and land water to Environmental regulatory requirements.
Plant and pump maintenance to ensure smooth operation
Management plans and systems to improve environmental performance
You will possess significant experience in the natural resources industry, with at least five years of this on an active mine site with a demonstrable track record of consistently meeting or exceeding clear and measurable business objectives. The ideal candidate will have fostered relationships and have experience in negotiating technical requirements with regulators.
You will have high level time and resource management with strong communication and negotiation skills at all levels as well as stakeholder Relations, especially First Nations.
You will have Tertiary qualifications in environmental discipline. A Strong background in geochemistry hydrology would be looked at favourably.
This role is a residential role at our Peace River Coal Mine, Tumbler Ridge. Currently a 7/7 roster to be compliant with our CoVid plan, however will revert back to a Monday to Friday role.
